Однако, это не помешало девочке стать успешным человеком — Ирина Лачина сейчас известная актриса.
Актерская профессия не остановилась на Ирине и продолжилась по женской линии: внучка великой актрисы Маша тоже стала актрисой.
После гибели Лачина, Тома во второй раз вышла замуж. Однако самым любимым из своих мужчин актриса не считает ни первого, ни второго мужа. Главным мужчиной ее жизни до сих пор остается режиссер Эмиль Лотяну, кто и привел ее в мир большого кино.
