По словам очевидцев, он на своем мини мопеде продвигался очень медленно. К тому же у него в наушниках играла громкая музыка, из-за чего подросток не услышал звука приближающейся электрички. Он не заметил даже прохожих, которые пытались его предупредить. Филипп погиб мгновенно. Ему было всего 14 лет.
